Ensuring rational, profitable and sustainable use of the country's dwindling arable land and soil resources through soil management activities is the main task. Soil Resource Development Institute, Regional Office, Brahmanbaria has been created through new organogram on June, 2020. In the last 2 years, the work of updating and printing the land and soil resource utilization guidelines of 2 upazilas is going on. 200 farmers have been trained on soil sampling and use of balanced fertilizers.5 Union manuals on “Soil, Soil and Fertilizer Recommendations” and 200 booklets on “Methods for Detection of Adulterated Fertilizers in Soils” have been printed and distributed. In all the upazilas of the district, a program of balanced fertilizer recommendation for crops has been launched in a digital manner according to the needs of the farmers.
